armeniangroceries.com will provide Armenian families everywhere with top quality produce and groceries with their online store!
HOLLYWOOD—Shooshig Avakian-Koroghlyan launched her online Armenian grocery store—armeniangroceries.com—on Tuesday.
The site allows customers to shop for all their grocery and produce needs without the hassles of searching for parking, walking up and down supermarket aisles, and loading/unloading bags. By providing only top grade produce at competitive prices, armeniangroceries.com will give community members the opportunity to create fresh and healthy meals for their friends and family by having everything they need, delivered regularly.
“I created this site out of necessity. I needed to shop for groceries for our large family on a weekly basis, but going to the market with two toddlers was not very productive and a huge hassle. Other grocery delivery services available were costly and did not offer me the weekly staples our family is used to buying,” said Avakian-Koroghlyan. “With http://www.armeniangroceries.com’s toll free number, those who don’t have internet access can also take advantage of our delivery services. This is especially convenient for senior citizens who are not able to leave their homes as often as they’d like or who are not online.”
Believing that most families would welcome and encourage such a service, Avakian-Koroghlyan wanted to create an opportunity for her business to give back to the community from the moment of inception.
Like other stores, armeniangroceries.com will have a Scrip Program, which will give back 5 percent of each scrip sale to the participating school or organization of the shopper’s choice. “So not only are families shopping more easily for their fresh groceries, they’re also giving back to their school or organization,” said Avakian-Koroghlyan. “I’m not limiting the Scrip Program to anyone – meaning, even if you’re a teenager trying to fundraise for your summer trip to Armenia, you are eligible to apply to sell Scrips, and if approved, receive 5% of your total sales.”
One of the many custom features the site has is a recipe blog, through which a customer can order everything they need for a given recipe with just one click! “I tried to create features for the online store which would allow just about anyone to recreate a dish with as much ease as possible.” The website will also provide free delivery (in select zip codes of LA County) for orders of $100 or more, a minimal delivery free to all other LA County zip codes, and is equipped to ship refrigerated or frozen items to anywhere in the world.
As a special Grand Opening Launch initiative, until June 15 on all orders of $100 or more will receive a free pound of Armenian coffee! armeniangroceries.com will provide the community with top quality produce and groceries, an efficient delivery service, while offering new fundraising opportunities to various schools, organizations and projects everywhere.
